Max's Story...

Max is a 1 year old small (about 10 pounds) mixed breed male. He's a little dude with a big personality! Max is a happy and playful guy who has a bounce in his step and one floppy ear. Max played with several other LGR adoptable dogs at our adoption event at The Chatty K-9 and loved every moment of it! When he was done playing, he curled up in the arms of a volunteer and took a sweet little nap!

*PLEASE NOTE: Loki Grrl Rescue is a foster based rescue. If you'd like to meet our dogs, please join us at one of our adoption events and/or submit an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Hastings Lancashire Heeler/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lancashire Heeler/Chihuahua for sale in Hastings, or seeking a Lancashire Heeler/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Hastings.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hastings already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hastings breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lancashire Heeler/Chihuahua breeders who help with Lancashire Heeler/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hastings paves the way for another one to be saved.
