GIA MARIE's Story...
Hi! Thanks for giving me some attention! I'd like you to know that I've already been spayed or neutered. At Animal Friends, dogs and cats also leave fully up-to-date on shots and microchipped. All I need now is to find someone who will love me. Please ask to meet with an adoption counselor, so we can be properly introduced and talk about what kind of pet you're looking for. We can discuss whether you're looking for a lap pet or a social butterfly, an 'only pet' or a furry 'sibling' for kids or other animals. Best of all, by adopting from Animal Friends, you make it possible for them to rescue and care for another pet who truly needs help. So, what are you waiting for? Let's sit down together! *****************************************************
Gia MarieÂs story has a sad beginning that animal rescuers see all too often. However, we know that in
time she will get the happy ending that she deserves!
Gia Marie was rescued from a backyard breeder with several other dogs. When she first came to the
shelter she was so scared that she had to be carried outside to potty because she would simply not walk
on a leash. Now, volunteers can go in to her room and sheÂll give kisses and licks! She loves spending time
in our play yards rough housing with her brother, Gulliver.
Gia Marie and Gulliver have made such amazing progress here at Animal Friends. We are so happy to see
them blossoming in to happy and healthy dogs, however they still have a long way to go. Gia should go
home with another dog who is well socialized and confident  she takes her cues from other dogs very well.
We are recommending a home with no kids since Gia is what we call a flight risk  if she gets scared, she
may try to run. Please talk to our adoption counselors and behavior department about some of the methods
weÂve found to help soothe Gia MarieÂs fears.
If you have the kind of loving and patient home that Gia Marie needs, please stop in to Animal Friends and
meet her. She may be shy at first, but take one look in to those big brown eyes, and weÂre sure youÂll see
the loving and wonderful dog that we see.
Someone beieves in her so much that they have sponsored her adoption; so she is truly priceless!
