Meow! My name is Victoria
|Breed:||Russian Blue||Color:||Gray Or Blue||Age:||Adult|
I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, and not good with cats.
What a regal lady! A stunning Russian Blue with short blue-silver fur and soft green eyes, Victoria recently came to Fancy Cats from a shelter in Prince George’s County. A staff member there was so taken with Victoria and her sister, Rosie, that she invited them to live in her office while seeking a foster for the special pair. The sisters are now settling into their foster home nicely, but what they really want is an adopter ready to receive all the love they have to offer! While she may be timid at first, Victoria quickly warms up to her humans and is incredibly affectionate. In just two days she went from hiding from her foster family, to rubbing on them while purring and talking in a low murmur. We guess she is just a cautious girl, but once she’s comfortable, Victoria is inquisitive and interested in understanding her surroundings—probably because Russian Blues are known for their intelligence and playfulness! This loving, smart cookie seems that she would form a strong bond with her adopters. She loves using a cat tree, with the ability to sleep high in the sunshine, or discreetly peeking from the hidey hole close to the floor—just depends on her mood! Victoria enjoys being petted, and tolerates brushing well, though she does not shed very much. Victoria is six years old, spayed, and up-to-date on her shots. Victoria would thrive in a home with few or no other pets. Consider bringing this sweet, elegant girl into your heart and home. Victoria deserves a chance to be treated like royalty!

Rescue Group Info...
Fancy Cats Rescue Team was founded to provide the community a "safety net" for cats and kittens that are abused and abandoned, or added to the euthanasia list at the shelters that we are currently participating with. We are a 501 (c) (3) Nonprofit Organization and participate with the United Way/CFC #8929. The goal is to have no kill shelters in place. Education and responsible pet ownership are the foundation of our organization. Our program provides literature, counseling, referral services and educational resources to families and individuals needing guidance. Teaching people responsible pet guardianship by spay and neutering their pets, behavioral modification and health concerns. We also provide a mentoring environment for our youth volunteers where they can learn the rewards of community service while caring for animals that need their gentle, loving kindness. They also interact with the community providing self-confidence and the ability to interact with a variety of cultures and diverse backgrounds. Once an animal is received into our program, they remain with us until a safe, appropriate home is found. They are never euthanized based on their age or space limitations. They are given appropriate medical care, immunizations, spays or neuters and endless hours of tender, loving care. We are an all-volunteer organization with no paid staff. We are funded by community donations, 91% goes toward the care and well being of our animals. Our adoption fees help offset our veterinary bills.
Our adoptions are held at the Fair Lakes PETsMART in Fairfax Virginia, at the Chantilly PetsMART, at the Gainesville PetsMART, and at the Springfield PetsMART
Check our website for upcoming adoptions. www.fancycats.org
Our adopters fill out an application that screens for problems that may be detrimental to our cats and kittens. Once the adopter is approved we provide veterinary referrals which help with low cost spays or neuters for the kittens that are too young at the time of adoption. We are always available to help with behavioral issues that arise. We provide numerous information sheets in our adoption folders, plus the medical background of each cat. The only fees involved with our program are adoption fees that offset our veterinary bills.
