Gina's Story...
Why Choose me?

Gina had just come to the pound when I met her, and she was a little shy about coming out of the back of her kennel. I sat in her run for a short time, and she eased out to meet me. Once she trusted me, I had a new friend. She wanted to stay right beside me in an interaction pen, and I had to wait for something to get her attention to sneak away to snap her picture. She is such a darling. She loves being petted and leans into you. When other dogs passed, she was calm and friendly. Gina has a beautiful, light brindle coat and a gorgeous long face. I don’t think the pictures I took do her justice. When she’s feeling a little more comfortable in her new surroundings, I’ll try to take some more. I enjoyed being with Gina this afternoon. Come meet this sweet and gentle girl today.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gina, a Athens Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Athens, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Athens.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Athens already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Athens breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Athens paves the way for another one to be saved.
