“I'm Mr. Bilbo Baggins, I've lost my dwarves, my wizard and my way!”HIya, all! My name is Bilbo! It’s true I’ve lost my dwarfs and my wizard, but I hope you can help me find my way! I am currently staying at the Animal Care and Control Team of Philadelphia waiting for a new home. Could that be with you? I should start by telling you a little bit about myself.
I was surrendered by my owner due to something the humans call landlord issues. Hmmm… no use dwelling on the past though, that's what I always say! The people at the shelter seem to think that I am house trained, which they say is a big plus for me (and you if you take me home)!
I’m a hazelnut colored dog with some white on my chest and tips of my toes. I’m pretty good looking for a little guy I tell ya. I’m about 1-2 years old and I only weigh
about 35 lbs. You might call me a pocket pittie, if you are inclined to talk such talk.
Unfortunately, some say that because I’m a “brown dog” (hazelnut, I tell you!) I tend to blend in around here. Blend? How could an adventurer with my personality, wisdom and charm BLEND?? Oh well, one of life’s little mysteries I guess.
While I can get a little nervous around really hyper dogs, I love playing with dogs of all sizes, and would love to meet more dogs so I can make more friends. I absolutely love my toys, and I’m very good at fetch, and love running around, but nothing too crazy mind you, just a good romp around the yard is all I ask!
“Go back? No good at all! Go sideways? Impossible! Go forward? Only thing to do! On we go!”
That’s right, go forward, that’s this Bilbo’s motto, on I go, looking for the next adventure. I hope I can share it with you.
There are two friends of mine at the shelter who have been helping me out while I look for my home since I don’t speak English too well yet. (I’m pretty good at elven though, if that helps.) They are teaching me things like “sit” and “down” and “get your toy” as well as “walk nice on the leash.” Learning new things can be a lot of fun, especially when there is Pupperoni involved. Oh yum. But I digress. You can email my friends Sara and Walter if you would like more information about me at saraelizazubroff@gmail.com or walter.campbell02@gmail.com and they’ll get right back to you.
Soooo… if you think I sound like a great dog, the whole kit and kaboodle so to speak, please come meet me as soon as you can! I’ll be waiting. Happy Holidays and lots of love, Bilbo
