Jerry's Story...
This handsome fellow is Jerry! He is a young (under a year old), 39 pound Sharpei/terrier mix who came to ACCT as a stray. Jerry must have come from a loving home as he seems to be housebroken and he knows a handful of commands- sit, down, and paw! He is a friendly guy with silly ears and a big goofy smile. He enjoys being pet and to just sitting by your side but he won’t say no to a game of fetch! Doesn’t Jerry sound like a catch? Bring the whole family (kids and dogs included) down to meet him!

Act quickly to adopt Jerry. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jerry, a Philadelphia Shar Pei/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Shar Pei/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) puppy from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Shar Pei/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
