Molly's Story...
Hi! I'm Molly. I am very curious and like to check everything out. I especially like to look out the window and watch the birds and squirrels. Even though I am 6, I still like to play. I come when I'm called and I love to be petted. I don't always like to be picked up but you might be able to coax me onto your lap for a while. Sometimes, when I want to be petted, I will come up to you and give you a gentle head butt or throw myself onto the floor in front of you to let you know that you should give me attention. I do have one little quirk - I have to rinse my dry food off in some water before I eat it. Therefore, I really need two water bowls (one for me to drink from and one for my food). If you want more information about me, please contact adoptions@gahomelesspets.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Molly, a Smyrna Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Smyrna, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Smyrna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Smyrna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Smyrna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Smyrna paves the way for another one to be saved.
