Freddie's Story...
Meet Freddie! This adorable 7 month old Border Collie/Hound mix is truly one of a kind! From the tip of his adorable nose to the end of his long tail he is as sweet as can be. He is a wonderful dog through and through. Freddie is working very hard on house and crate training and loves to play! He has tons of energy, loves to run around outside but is very gentle when dealing with his humans. He has not shown any signs of chewing or other puppy "issues". Freddies foster brothers are quite larger then he is and he can romp with the best of them for long periods of time. He walks very well on a leash and when let go of he comes right back when called. He does like to trail and keeps his nose to the ground. He knows how to sit and other basic commands. He is being fostered in Hanover, PA, is UTD on shots and neutered. He asked Santa to find him his forever home for Christmas.....that's all he wants.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Freddie, a Hanover Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Hanover, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Hanover.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hanover already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hanover breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hanover paves the way for another one to be saved.
