Shania's Story...
**Shania is a courtesy post and is not part of Operation Education. If you have any questions about her or are interested in making her part of your family, please contact Lydia at lmm-artist@comcast.net. Please note, Shania's foster family is located in Knoxville, TN.**

Shania was found as a stray and was heartworm positive. The good samaritans that took her in covered all of the cost to treat her heartworms, completely vet her, and get her spayed. She is now ready for a home of her own! Shania is a beautiful 3 year old female GSD mix. She is good with other dogs. She hasn't been around cats or children as much as other dogs but has always done well with them. She is an exceptionally sweet girl who loves running, playing, and getting attention from her people.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shania, a Christiana German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Christiana, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Christiana.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Christiana already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Christiana breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Christiana paves the way for another one to be saved.
