Mars's Story...
Hello People! Well here I am at 5 months old and still looking for my forever home. I am a busy, silly puppy who still chases my tail sometimes. I love playing with other dogs and would do great with a doggy brother or sister to help me burn off some energy. I also love car rides, walks and going to puppy classes. Playing fetch is one of my favorite games but I can also entertain myself with toys and chewies. I sleep in my very own crate at night and can make it right through the night without having to go outside. You could say that I am 99% housetrained as long as you are paying attention when you see me at the door. I have really long legs and once I grow into them, I'll probably be a pretty good jogger too! Having said all of this, I'm just a puppy and still have lots to learn so I was hoping my new family will want to take me to puppy classes. So just to recap.. Sweet, goofy, lovable, playful, friendly puppy looking for a family to call my own. If you think I might be the right puppy for your home, please contact www.poundrescue.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mars, a Okotoks German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Okotoks, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Okotoks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Okotoks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Okotoks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Okotoks paves the way for another one to be saved.
