In Italian, Bella means beautiful – and this girl is so very beautiful!
Unfortunately, this 8-year old Husky mix has had a tough life. Her former owners found a mass on her shoulder, which they tried to remove themselves. When that surgery went horribly wrong, they dumped poor Bella at the Yavapai Humane Society with a gaping, open wound on her shoulder. YHS removed that mass and a second found in a mammary gland. Thankfully, both were benign.
Bella also had another problem – this one in her mouth. She had a condition that caused her gums to grow over her teeth, and YHS did not have the proper equipment to perform that surgery. When they put out a call for help, we answered. We took her and had her evaluated at our Vet, Arizona Animal Wellness Center. Bella had surgery to correct her gums and has fully recovered. She is so happy to feel good again!
Don't be fooled by her age - this happy girl loves to play and have fun. She gets along with other dogs, and even likes cats! She also likes her toys - a little too much sometimes, and may not want to share them. Because a child may not understand this, she should only go to home with older kids. An educated, experienced dog handler would be best for Bella - somoene who understands and is willing to work more with her. She has already made great strides! Bella is ready for the next chapter to begin in a new FUREVER home. Will it be yours?
