Bella's Story...
Bella in Italian means Beautiful. And she is, so very beautiful. She's had a tough road though. Apparently her owners found a mass on her shoulder, which they tried to remove themselves. When that went horribly wrong, the brought her to the shelter, with a gaping, open wound, and left her there. YHS removed that mass, and another one that was found in one of her mammary glands. Thankfully, both were benign. But she had another problem - this one in her mouth. She had a condition that caused her gums to grow over her teeth. and they did not have the proper equipment to perform that surgery. That's where we, and our vet, AAWC stepped in. She had her surgery, and is recovering nicely. She is so happy to finally feel good! She is ready for her next chapter to begin, her new FUREVER home. Will it be yours?

Our Adoption Process...
We have a consultation form that is filled out for each animal that an individual is thinking about adopting. We then interview based upon that feedback. Once an animal is decided on, an adoption contract is signed, and the adoption fee is paid. If a person is adopting a dog, we do a home check prior to the adoption contract. Fees vary.
