My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sebastian is a friendly, outgoing and playful young boy. He is still very much a puppy in many ways and enjoys playing with toys, going for walks and meeting new dog friends at the dog park. He loves having a back yard to play in, loves attention and is very affectionate and eager to please. He is under a year old and is just a little guy who weighs approximately 20 lbs.

Here is what else his foster family had to say:

Sebastian is a wonderful little dog who has quickly and easily integrated into our home. He had never experienced stairs before coming to our home so had to learn how to navigate them. He is full of energy and loves to go for long walks. He also likes racing around at the dog park playing with any and all dogs that are there. Sebastian is not very vocal and barks infrequently. He is slowly learning about city life and get used to all the sights and sounds. He can be shy at first with strangers but warms up quickly once he knows it is okay.

Sebastian is well behaved in the house. He is a dog that needs and enjoys dog toys and also likes to race around to get rid of pent up energy. He is learning to sit, stay & come. Sebastian is fully house trained and will usually pace the floor or go to the door to signal his need to do his stuff. He is still a little scared of cars so we find it best to walk him in areas where cars are not permitted so that he can focus on taking care of business. At night time Sebastian sleeps in his crate without protest but during the day he is left to roam the house with his house-mate Molly, another little dog living in the house. He has no problems being leashed and walking on a leash but still needs some further training in this area as he does still pull. He is slowly getting used to car rides. He is usually a little nervous and tends to tremble, but he recently realized that if he looks out the window there is a whole world of interesting things to see.

Sebastian has been to the dog park a couple of times and has enjoyed playing with many dogs of all different sizes. Sebastian is good with the other small dog in his home and has also successfully lived with cats. He is also good when encountering new dogs on walks and at the park. He has not had a lot of contact with children but appears to be very tolerant of his surroundings and would more than likely fit in very nicely with a family including small children. Sebastian is very respectful of the other dog's food bowl and stays away from it when told to do so. He is also tolerant when his house-mate "steals" kibble from his bowl.

When I leave the room, Sebastian will follow me to where ever I go. When leaving him at home, he does not bark when I leave the house nor does he bark when I return. Sebastian was initially afraid of loud noises but is slowing getting over this as he settles in and feels safe. Sebastian loves to play "catch me if you can" and also loves to gnaw on dog chews. He has a beautiful short hair coat with minimal shedding. Sebastian is not a vocal dog and as long as he gets enough exercise would likely do well in an apartment.

Sebastian would be happy in a home where he would be provided with many opportunities to play and burn off puppy energy. He would love a home where he could play chase in a fenced yard or at a nearby park and may also make a good jogging companion. He enjoys sitting on the couch with his humans and would also like to sleep on the bed at night but is a good listener and understands when asked to stay off the furniture.

If you think Sebastian would be a good fit for your family, please submit an application for consideration.
