Sparrow's Story...
They were tossed away like a bag of trash…

Just two weeks old, the Kensington 5 were bundled into a bag and tossed into a dumpster. A woman walking by heard their pitiful cries and rescued them. She took them to the Humane Society who said they had no resources to bottle feed the tiny babies.

The woman turned to PAWS and one of our Itty Bitty Kitty volunteers stepped up and fostered the kittens.

She bottle fed them, socialized them and taught them the things their momma cat would have and now they are ready to be adopted.

There are three girls – Lark, Phoebe and Sparrow. And two boys – Budgie and Tananger.

These gorgeous kittens have been spayed/neutered, dewormed, gotten a dose of Revolution, gotten their first kitten FVRCP vaccine and Rabies vaccine, had their ears cleaned, been groomed and been FIV/FELV tested (found negative). The adoption fee is $50.00.

If you are interested in meeting any of the kittens, please contact the Cat Adoption Team or call Bob at 619-840-9727.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sparrow, a Coronado Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Coronado, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Coronado.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Coronado already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Coronado breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Coronado paves the way for another one to be saved.
