Smokey's Story...
Meet our beautiful Smokey. Smokey came to us after his precious owners lost their home in a house fire. He is full of love and life. He recently participated in our local parade and boy did he ROCK it. Smokey is great with other dogs and love to play with his friends. He walks wonderful on a leash and he is potty trained to a doggy door. As you can see he has eyes that will absolutely make you melt. If you are interested in meeting Smokey please go to our website: www.heavencanwaitanimalrescue.com and fill out an adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Smokey, a Russellville Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd for sale in Russellville, or seeking a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Russellville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Russellville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Russellville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Border Collie/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Russellville paves the way for another one to be saved.
