Thunder's Story...
Hi there my name is Thunder, I am about 2 years old and was rescued by a nice group of ladies here at Heaven Can Wait Animal Rescue. I am a real and true dachshund, and all that comes with that. My rescue moms have worked with me and I am learning all my house manners. Sadly like many of us that end up at a shelter, our original families didn't want to take the time to show me manners and simply wanted to give up. I am current on all my shots and am neutered. When I came to my rescue they took me to the vet where they found out that I was heart worm positive. I went though treatment and am 100% alright now. They saved my life and all I want now is to find my furever family, if you think this might be you please go to their website and fill out an application at www.heavencanwaitanimalrescue.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Thunder, a Russellville Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Russellville, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Russellville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Russellville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Russellville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Russellville paves the way for another one to be saved.
