Gabby's Story...
Gabby is a precious chiweenie (dachshund/chihuahua)! She's got a long dachshund body and a chihuahua face and tail. She is about two years old and weighs about 12 lbs. Gabby is the prettiest sable/chocolate brown color. She is the sweetest little girl, and full of love! Gabby is playful and she loves to give kisses! She is the ultimate lap dog! She also LOVES going for walks and rides in the car. Gabby was picked up as a stray and spent over a month in the county pound. She then came down with kennel cough and was scheduled to be euthanized. That would have been a tragedy, because this girl is a s good as gold! Gabby is great with children. She is fine with dogs, but prefers the company of humans. We don't have cats, but I am sure she would be fine with them too. Gabby would love to have a home where she is adored like a princess and gets plenty of snuggle time. She has so much love to offer! Gabby's adoption fee is $250 and that includes spay, microchip, DAPP & rabies vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting Gabby, please contact Delon.Washo@asu.edu or 602-295-4518.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gabby, a Phoenix Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
