Tuxedo's Story...
Hi there!! My name is Tuxedo. I am a very handsome young man available for adoption at the Columbiana County Dog Pound. I get along very good with the other dogs. Once I meet them, all i want to do is play with them. one dog here was even being mean to me, but I was a perfect gentleman. I really like all of the new people I get to meet here too! I have entropion of both eyes. Entropion is a correctable condition where the eyelashes are turned in towards the eye and irritate and scatch the eye. It is no fun having itchy eyes all the time, but I am hoping they can get it soon, because my eyes really bother me. But I'll be good as new and ready to adopt!!

About Our Shelter...
The Columbiana County Dog Pound is a small, rural shelter in eastern Ohio. At one time, only a small percentage of the dogs entering the Pound made it out alive. Now, thanks to the vision of the County Commissioners, the Pound staff, and a dedicated group of volunteers, the Pound has become a source of hope. It is a place where lives are saved, not lost.

Columbiana was one of the first counties in the state to require that all dogs be spayed/neutered before leaving the Pound. This policy addresses the pet overpopulation problem at its source.

Monday - Wednesday: 9am to 12pm, 1pm to 4pm
Thursday: 9am to 12pm, 1pm to 4pm
Friday: 9am to 12pm, 1pm to 4pm
Saturday: 9am to 12pm
Sunday: Closed.

Our Adoption Process...
The adoption fee is $100, which includes a DHLPP vaccine, a rabies vaccine, de-worming, an Ohio dog license, and spay/neuter surgery. Additional low-cost vet care is available upon request.

Approved rescue groups can pull dogs at reduced fees.
