LUCKY - FRIENDLY's Story...
Adopted
Lucky is very sweet, affectionate, cute, and playful two year old champagne orange Tabby. He is a great companion, who loves attention and will sit on your lap and purr. He has the cutest meow and will talk to you - especially when he wants to eat. Lucky would be best as the only child, where he can shine as the center of attention or possibly with another male cat. He has been combo tested negative, and fully vaccinated. This is a courtesy listing - you can call his foster parent Sue (832) 541-0908 to arrange to meet Lucky.

---------------------------------------------------------------

The Friends of League City Animal Shelter rescues animals from the shelters and places them in foster homes, where they can receive the love and care they need. We hold adoption events every weekend. If you would like to meet a specific kitty, please email us beforehand, and we'll make sure it's there.

Saturdays: League City (I-45 @ 646) PETSMART 11-3pm & PETCO 12-4pm

Sundays: Clear Lake PETCO (Bay Area Blvd @ Space Center) 11am - 3pm

You can download an ADOPTION APPLICATION from our PETFINDER HOMEPAGE and submit it to us via email or at the adoption event. Applications submitted via email prior to the weekend can often be pre-approved, meaning you can go to the event and take your pet home that day. We cannot guarantee same-day approval of applications submitted at the event, because there may not be a volunteer working who is authorized to approve applications. Please note that with an approved application, we can sometimes arrange a meeting during the week. Just ask!

NOTE: Rescued cats and kittens are exposed to a lot, both on the streets and in the shelter. While we provide them with care and some vaccinations, they have not been fully examined by a veterinarian. Your adopted pet needs a complete Veterinary exam (including fecal), within about a week of adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

LUCKY - FRIENDLY, a League City Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in League City, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in League City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in League City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a League City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in League City paves the way for another one to be saved.
