Blitzen's Info...
| Breed: | Labrador Retriever Mix | Color: | Tan/Yellow/Fawn | Age: | Young |
| Size: | Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg) | Sex: | Male |
Blitzen is approximately 1 year old, an un-neutered male Labrador Retriever mix. He came in as a stray and was extremely timid at first but has blossomed as he gets familiar with the volunteers and routine. Blitzen does ok in his kennel, it appears he may have been trained to urinate on cement but tends to do his business outside. This blond beauty is big, strong & very handsome. Blitzen enjoys some exercise time; he's interested in toys and balls but apparently doesn't know how to fetch. He recalls well, knows sit and down plus allows full body handling. Blitzen loves to go for walks, not perfect on lead, he is gentle and responsive. Blitzen has a soft-mouth and is gentle for his size. He would like nothing more than a yard to call his own, maybe a bunch of young people to play with and a chance to snooze in the house when he's tuckered out. Blitzen appears to do well with other dogs. He is interested in cats, but not focused on them. If interested we encourage you to stop by the shelter for a meet and greet with Blitzen. If not claimed he'll be available December 20th after 6pm.
If you want to apply for Blitzen click here. You can then email the application to the Meridian Humane Society.Applications are now being accepted, and a visitation with the dog is encouraged. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.
