My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Sophie Grace and I am a very pretty, spayed, 5 year old, red and white, cocker girl. I have come to rescue from a home where I was happy, taken care of and very loved. I am now looking for a new place to live because my family felt that I was not getting all of the attention and love that I really and truly deserve. I am now hoping that I can find someone to love me for the special girl that I am and a nice place to call home again. It was a hard, sad decision for my family to let me go into this rescue, but they want me to be happy, loved, find a great home and just have a nice rest of my life. They originally adopted me from a nice lady who lived in Pennsylvania and had to make some necessary life changes, so she just couldn't keep me. I am a sweet girl, mostly house trained and I have had a good life as an indoor doggie with my family. I did well with the children of this family too and they also had another male dog that was living with them when they adopted me. Now, they are so busy helping the kids with homework and outside activities and sometimes they have very long work days, so they finally decided it might be best for me if they turned me over to this rescue so that I can find the loving home that I truly deserve. I am a heartworm negative, friendly, very nice girl and I love to snuggle in my bed with a favorite toy or just be with you while you are watching TV. I like love and attention and I seem to do best with a male, dog social pal who is easy going and would just like to be my pal, but will not try to be dominant over me. Or, I would also do well being an only dog and I would love to have a backyard so that I can be outside for a short while on a nice day and then come back inside to spend time with you. If I am adopted to a home with another male, dog social pal, it will probably be best to feed me separate. Please come to see me soon. I would love to be your new best friend and a favorite companion.
