Jake's Story...
Jake is a 3 yr. old, 14 pound Male Red L/H Miniature Dachsund mix.

Jake is a very sweet, shy little man who enjoys walks, riding in the car, and sitting in your lap. Jake does very well with other dogs of all sizes and ignores cat's. He enjoys family time preferably in your lap with lots of cuddling.

Jake is in search of his forever home after being placed in foster care following the death of his owner.

He would make a most wonderful pet for any child or adult in search of a true friend and companion. Let's find Jake a home for the holidays!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jake, a Denver Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Denver, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
