My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We are pleased to finally introduce Amity!

Amity is a sweet little red tri Australian Shepherd whose had a rough life so far.
She came into ASRM with her sister, Ally, who was adopted recently and both girls were pretty emaciated and undersocalized upon arrival.

Amity is appx 3 years old, give or take a year. She's about 40lbs and the perfect size! She's got the most beautiful amber eyes!
Amity is a very sweet girl and will make someone an awesome companion. She is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations and micro-chipped. She came to us not knowing how to be a pet, but she has learned how to be a well behaved family dog with the help of her patient foster family.

Amity has learned her manners well! She is house trained and crate trained, and knows basic commands like sit and wait, and behaves well off-leash once she bonds with her family. She is active and likes to play but is still learning about toys. She is good around other dogs and cats but small children make her nervous. We are recommending no children in her forever home.

Amity is a Velcro girl to her “person” and likes other people but she's a little slow to warm up initially. She has a strong herding instinct and would love nothing more than to herd groups of the unsuspecting kids in her foster home around the back yard. Amity also happens to be a sock thief—no worries though, just check her favorite spot under the bed and you’ll find her stash…. It makes sorting laundry much easier!

Amity is fostering in Kasson, Minnesota. If you would like to make this sweet little girl a part of your family, please fill out the ADOPTION APPLICATION and reference ASRM 0123 Amity!
