Foxy's Story...
Foxy is a gorgeous plump little long-haired calico female, about 5 months old. She and her siblings were found dumpster-diving near campus, and we promised them a much better life if they'd come home with us! She has been spayed, vaccinated against rabies and distemper, and had a negative combo test. We are looking for an indoor-only home for Foxy.

Until a week ago she never had any reason to trust people, so she is going to need someone who is very patient and willing to work with her. I have held her and brushed her and she is not a bit aggressive, but she still is very frightened. With time and lots of love, she will come around.

Please help us find Foxy a forever home for Christmas! A foster home would help too, so that she does not have to stay in a pen.

Contact Kelly at kellybettinger@bellsouth.net or 706-207-1013 to meet her!

No adoption fee, but donations help us help more kittens like Foxy. We do require adopters to bring a cat carrier to safely transport their new family member home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Foxy, a Wakinsville Calico kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in Wakinsville, or seeking a Calico kitten from a breeder in Wakinsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wakinsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wakinsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wakinsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
