Hello everyone! Isabella's the name, but my friends call me Izz, or Isabelly! What's that you say? You need to know a little more about me before making a lifetime commitment? Well you're in luck because there's nothing I like to talk about more than good ol' me...I'm The Most Interesting Dog In The World, afterall! I'm a Terrier mix, and I'm probably about 3-4 years old. I weigh in at a robust 70 pounds (what? I've got curves, okay!). If I was a movie star (which I think I could be) I'd be Marilyn Monroe or Mae West- we're talkin' pinup girl status here! I'll admit that my human friends here at the shelter have informed me that I could probably stand to lose a few pounds to be a healthy Isabelly, so maybe you can help me start a fun new weight loss regimen? A healthy diet with lots of exercise and I'll be ship shape in no time!
I'm keeping myself busy here at the shelter, and I now have my very own personal volunteer friend (she's called my Pen Pal), who's preparing me for life outside of the shelter and helping me to become the best Isabella I can be. For example, I've never really learned how to walk like a polite young lady on the leash, so now I'm learning something called "leash manners" with the help of an Easy Walk harness. My Pen Pal also told me that people like a dog that knows stuff, so she's been teaching me tricks so I can show off just how smart I am. Right, now, I know "sit", "touch", "down", and "find it". I do love to play with toys (especially tennis balls!), so I'm even learning how to share my toys like a good girl! p.s.- my Pen Pal says I make funny frog sounds when I play with my toys- you don't wanna miss that!
Do you have another dog at home? Well, I LOVE other dogs! I love to play and I get along well with girls and boys; I do like to be large and in charge in my doggie relationships and will tell another dog (in an appropriate way) when I'd like them to stop doing what they're doing...my shelter friends say that I'm a great teacher for younger dogs who are still learning how to play! Long story short, please bring your dog down to meet me- hopefully we can be great friends!
Have I answered all of your questions? If there's something I missed, don't worry! You can email my Pen Pal, Sheri, at sherilynnmarie@hotmail.com - she knows me best and can answer any questions you might have! Please come on down to the shelter and meet me today!
