Ladybird's Story...
Ladybird is a 5-year-old, 130 lbs, mantle Great Dane. She is a big girl with a big personality. She needs a new home because owner is moving to Australia.

Ladybird is an awesome dog and a perfect pet. She is very social, good with people and awesome around kids of all ages. She loves getting attention. She is in great health, full of fun and energy, very playful, but a couch potato when in the house. She gets along with other dogs, but will chase cats. She is very well mannered (not destructive when left alone) and she knows basic commands. Likes walks and car rides. Loves playing with toys, playing fetch and sleeping under blankets. Overall, an awesome pet.

If interested in giving Ladybird a new home, please fill out the adoption application on our website.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ladybird, a Austin Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Austin, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
