Sammi's Story...
Sammi-Schnauzer/Peek female

Sammi is a 6 year old little girl, looking for a new start on life. She's been taken in by a
kind lady who feels she's now ready for a new start on life. She came from a very abusive
past and has been learning to trust again. She is still sensitive to having her head touched
and loud voices, but according to foster mom, has made tremendous progress. She likes to
snuggle for naps with her human and also will crawl on your lap or that special
bonding time. too. Sammi has been getting along great with the other dogs in the foster
home but still needs supervision around the cats and any other small pets/animals.
She is a healthy little girl, house trained and as you can see "cute as a button".
Her adoption fee is $250 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sammi, a Germantown Schnauzer (Standard)/Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard)/Pekingese for sale in Germantown, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard)/Pekingese dog from a breeder in Germantown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Germantown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Germantown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard)/Pekingese breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard)/Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Germantown paves the way for another one to be saved.
