Brook's Story...
Hello there, I’m Brook and I’m just a sweet little ball of fur. I am a gray tabby girl with white paws, about 10 weeks old. I am absolutely adorable. Before my family and I were rescued, we were strays who were taken in during Hurricane Sandy. My sister is adopted and I really want a forever home of my own. I am just a sweet sweet girl and I absolutely love to be held and stroked. I love to play and I am quite rambunctious! I love to bat plastic balls and climb on cat trees. I would love to go to a home with another cat or kitten or cat-friendly animal. Please help make my holiday wish come true and take me home.

Please call CARE @ (804) 288-9797 and ask about Kelsey’s kitten Brook.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brook, a Richmond Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
