Lilly's Story...
**SPECIAL THANKS TO A DBC ANGEL FOR SPONSORING LILLY'S CARE WHILE SHE IS IN OUR PROGRAM**

Lilly is a wiggle butt, snuggle bug and ball of energy. She was picked up as a stray by the Sumpter Township police department, so we don't know anything about her background. She is a vibrant little lady, only weighing about 35 pounds and 4 years old. We feel she is a mix because she has an undercoat beneath her smooth top coat and her tail is a bit fluffy. She is petite, small-framed. She is by all means a wonderful canine and gets along with other dogs. No cats, please, as she does have a fondness for small game... What terrier doesn't? Lilly loves human interaction and always has a smile waiting. She knows her basic commands and walks very nicely on the leash. She will do great with a motivated, active family. She would do best in a home with children 12 and up due to her high energy level. Children must be tested to make sure it is a good fit.

If you would like to meet Lilly, please fill out the pre-adoption application at www.dbcdogs.org

Adoption fee: $150 includes microchip, crate, vaccinations, spay, 12 months of training and 30 days of pet insurance after adoption is complete.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lilly, a Lapeer Pit Bull Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Lapeer, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Lapeer.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lapeer already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lapeer breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lapeer paves the way for another one to be saved.
