**SPECIAL THANKS TO A DBC ANGEL FOR SPONSORING COURAGE WHILE SHE IS IN OUR PROGRAM**

Don't let the graying muzzle fool you. Like most redheaded females, Courage has a lot of spirit. She is an independent, confident gal who loves to go for walks and roll in the grass to give herself a back scratch. She is a great companion and a little choosy about her canine company, so proper introductions would be required if you already have a dog. No cats, please. She enjoys playing with her chew toys and squeaky toys, and would be a couch potato if you let her. Due to her size and strong personality, she would do great in a home with older children. Courage is estimated to be 9 years old, weighing about 62 lbs.

About Detroit Bully Corps

About Our Rescue Group...

Our Mission:
The foundation of our program is education. Without education on spay/neuter, breed specific legislation (BSL), training, breed specific workshops, the dog fighting culture and responsible ownership... the epidemic will never end. Rescue is a mere bandage in the overall scale of the canine epidemic. Shelters are overrun, rescues are overflowing and society is in need of education. For every one spot we fill, we turn away 50... We average 20 rescue canines at any given time. Also take into consideration we deal primarily with one breed, the American Pit Bull Terrier. The American Pit Bull Terrier comprises 90% of our rescue population. We work with canines from any and every background, whether it be a surrendered family pet, bait dogs, seasoned fighters or the abused. We are a no-kill rescue/rehabilitation. We will not euthanize a canine that meets an adoptable standard. We as a moral, ethical and objective organization will NOT adopt out a canine that is a threat to society. We are advocates of the American Pit Bull Terrier. As such we will not add to the epidemic by being irresponsible. Our approach to rescue and rehabilitation is proactive. We at Detroit Bully Corps are not just trying to rehabilitate individual canines. We are also trying to do our part to rehabilitate the overall integrity of the American Pit Bull Terrier strain of canine. Our ultimate goal is to see the American Pit bull Terrier rise above the negative stigma & once again be the “All American Dog".
