Willy's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Willy's Story...

Willy was found as a stray, but we could not locate his family. He is now microchipped, so he will never be displaced from his family again! He knows his basic commands and loves to play fetch. One of his favorite things to do is roll around in grass (or dirt) to give himself a back scratch. When he wants your attention, he will gently try to shake your hand. He doesn't show interest in other dogs, cats or children, so proper introductions would be required. He is about 3 years old, weighing 55 pounds. Willy is anxiously waiting for a new family to fall in love with him. PLEASE don't look past Willy...he would never look past you.

About Detroit Bully Corps

About Our Rescue Group...

Our Mission:
The foundation of our program is education. Without education on spay/neuter, breed specific legislation (BSL), training, breed specific workshops, the dog fighting culture and responsible ownership... the epidemic will never end. Rescue is a mere bandage in the overall scale of the canine epidemic. Shelters are overrun, rescues are overflowing and society is in need of education. For every one spot we fill, we turn away 50... We average 20 rescue canines at any given time. Also take into consideration we deal primarily with one breed, the American Pit Bull Terrier. The American Pit Bull Terrier comprises 90% of our rescue population. We work with canines from any and every background, whether it be a surrendered family pet, bait dogs, seasoned fighters or the abused. We are a no-kill rescue/rehabilitation. We will not euthanize a canine that meets an adoptable standard. We as a moral, ethical and objective organization will NOT adopt out a canine that is a threat to society. We are advocates of the American Pit Bull Terrier. As such we will not add to the epidemic by being irresponsible. Our approach to rescue and rehabilitation is proactive. We at Detroit Bully Corps are not just trying to rehabilitate individual canines. We are also trying to do our part to rehabilitate the overall integrity of the American Pit Bull Terrier strain of canine. Our ultimate goal is to see the American Pit bull Terrier rise above the negative stigma & once again be the “All American Dog".
