Glacier's Story...
Hi, my name is Glacier, I am 8 years old and will melt your heart. I was brought to the Humane Society when my owners had to move and could not take me with them. I was neutered recently ( we won't discuss that); UTD on my vaccines and on a heart worm preventative I am a big guy weighing in at a healthy 92.5 lbs. I am a very sweet boy,and although I am generally laid back in the house, I love to go on walks and outings, so I'm no couch potato. When its really hot you can spray me down with a hose because that feels oh so good, I love water! My foster parents put me in a crate while they are gone and at bedtime I'm not too happy about that and if I had it my way I would prefer a nice cushy spot instead. But I am anxious to please and doing my best to learn to tolerate being crated, rules are rules and I generally don't like to break them (well unless you leave something good on the counter) . I have a foster sister who I get along with very well but sometimes those young ones they just have too much energy. I get tired just watching' her run circles around me and she isn't even chasing anything! But I do love to hunt around the yard; show me a squirrel and I'll have it treed in no time flat and still have plenty of energy left for us to go for a walk. I would be great with another dog or I can share all my time with you either way if your happy I'm happy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Glacier, a Mason Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner for sale in Mason, or seeking a Weimaraner dog from a breeder in Mason.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mason already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mason breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner breeders who help with Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mason paves the way for another one to be saved.
