Why Choose me?

When I met Sunshine, she was a scared little girl. She is an owner surrender, and today was her first day at the pound, so she had every right to be afraid. I sat in her run for a while, and she finally came out to me. I could tell she wanted to trust me. She didn’t want the treats I was offering, she just wanted to be near someone. When I took her to an interaction pen, she immediately wanted to run and explore. She would come to me when I called her, but when I reached out to pet her, she crouched down low to the ground. I think she finally started to understand that I wouldn’t hurt her, and she even started wagging her tail as I petted her and talked to her. Sunshine is a beautiful little girl, and she has the softest coat. I plan on spending more time with her to help her feel safe in her new environment. She needs time to adjust, but as an owner surrender, she is not guaranteed any amount of time. Come meet Sunshine today. If she shies away at first, be patient. She’ll eventually come to you. She’s a sweet girl who needs a loving and forever home.
