Cocoa's Story...
Cocoa is a very sweet American golden agouti girl who is approximately 6 or 7 months old. She, along with her sibling, Nutella, are looking for a loving forever home. Cocoa is slightly reserved at first, but warms up quickly to being held and loved. She is a snuggler and loves to snuggle in at your neck or on your chest. She must be adopted with Cocoa.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cocoa, a Pittsburgh Guinea Pig was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Guinea Pig for sale in Pittsburgh, or seeking a Guinea Pig from a breeder in Pittsburgh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pittsburgh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pittsburgh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Guinea Pig breeders who help with Guinea Pig rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pittsburgh paves the way for another one to be saved.
