Chanel's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Chanel's Story...

Chanel came to IDGSR via a shelter with her little buddy Moss. Their owners decided they were disposable and while at the shelter they got a "doggie cold", which made them eligible for euthanasia. We were contacted and asked to take these kids.

Chanel is a bi-color female who is as sweet and gentle with people as she can be, she will sit on command, takes treats from you nicely and is loving. Chanel is about 2-3 years old and weighs about 70 lbs.
Chanel can be adopted without Moss, but if there was an adopter who wanted to take her little buddy with her, that would be awesome for both. A no cat home will be needed for these two.

If you would like to make Chanel a part of your life and family, please apply with this rescue.

Folks who think that getting a dog is not a lifetime commitment or that training their pets is an option should simply not be pet owners. You are not just a dog owner for a 'while' or 'until'.
It's a responsibility no matter what your circumstances. Whether you are moving, have a child, get a divorce, get married, go on vacation, lose a job, get a job, No Excuses. Thankfully Chanel and Moss are some of the lucky ones, so so many are not so lucky.

Each dog's adoption donation varies depending on the age of the dog.
$300 for any dog 1 year and younger (BABY)
$250 for any dog 1-3 years (YOUNG)
$200 for any dog 3-7 years (ADULT)
$150 for dogs over 7 (SENIOR)
All our adoptable dogs are up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing & monthly preventative and have been spayed or neutered.

Everyone must submit an application before an appointment is made to meet the dogs. Dogs are
introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chanel, a Greeneville German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Greeneville, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Greeneville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greeneville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greeneville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greeneville paves the way for another one to be saved.
