My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Do you have a soft spot for feisty terriers? My name is Shawna and I’m a terrier through and through. I am told that the majority of Terriers like me who end up in rescues and shelters are unwanted simply for being terriers. We are exceptionally cute puppies but then we grow up and our needs change. People are just not committed to giving us the time and care required; most of all they are unprepared for our energy level. My people did not even bring me to a safe place; I was left to fend for myself until I was picked up by animal control. I am about 8 months old and I am medium size. I will need lots and lots of exercise and lots and lots of training. I can’t wait to do obedience training and show you just how smart a terrier can be. If you would like to do agility with me, I would be really keen. I would be best suited to an experienced guardian and one who loves the terrier personality. I do like to chase squirrels so a fenced yard is a must. Since I am still a puppy, being alone all day would not be for me. I get along well with other dogs but I do tend to play rough. I may be high energy but I’m also high on giving my love and affection. If you think that I would be a fantastic addition to your family, then please do fill in the Adoption Form.
