Animal Rescue Ark is a humane non-kill corporation awaiting non-profit status. We have a low cost adoption program for all animals. We are located in Putnam County, New York.
We both have been volunteering with the aid of animals for many years. Michelle has volunteered, and still does, with other non-kill rescue groups for many years. Michelle is also a NYS Licensed Class 1 Wildlife Rehabilitator. Louise's dogs have been trained as therapy dogs and have helped throughout the community for many years. She have also volunteered at Guiding Eyes For The Blind for many years. Louise been trained in animal massage therapy and socialization. She has also worked in the South Bronx helping stray dogs in desperate need of attention. Michelle and Louise are also volunteers for Pawsafe.org which adopts out puppies and older dogs. Please check out their site. They are a fantastic organization and we are proud to be a part of.
