Jocelyn's Story...
Jocelyn is a Shelter Puppy Dog:
adoption date is 8-14-07 and can be put to sleep any time after the adoption date.
At our best guess Jocelyn is around 4 to 5 years old, is Large in size and a little over weight, walks on a leash, sits when asked, she appears to be a SUPER sweet & loving young lady, very alert, very well mannered, obedient, playful yet mellow, and is a special girl that is in need of a family to love. It also appears that this sweet dog was used to have a few liters of puppies, who ever owned her must be done with the puppy making business and retired sweet Jocelyn, which if she's adopted, is a wonderful thing.

I gave a little test by looking in Jocelyn's mouth, pulling on her ears and tail, holding her paw and giving her a little kiss and hug. Jocelyn appeared to past the test with no problems, she is so sweet and very loving, wants to please. Like all of our dogs, we suggest a well fenced yard for Jocelyn to play and be safe in. We feel she may make an outstanding walking companion and loving loyal family member. If you wish, Jocelyn can be tested around a Child, Cats & Dogs here at the shelter.

Act quickly to adopt Jocelyn. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jocelyn, a Grass Valley Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Grass Valley, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Grass Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grass Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grass Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grass Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
