Yippie!! I just got adopted to a great home.
My name is Louie and I am a very nice, black and white, 2 year old, cocker boy. I came here to rescue from a shelter in Ashe County after I had been picked up as a stray by animal control. The shelter staff really tried to give me a chance to get adopted, but I guess I was just too dirty and smelly, so no one really looked at me. The staff really liked me and wanted to help me get a great home, so they decided to see if a rescue could take me. CCR stepped up and made the arrangements to pick me up. Within a few days, I was transported by a nice Ashe County volunteer who lives up near this shelter, to a meeting spot with this really nice CCR volunteer, who I really liked. She gave me lots of love and attention, so I was one very happy guy. Then I fell asleep in her car and the next thing I know, I got to meet this nice rescue lady who put me into her van and took me into rescue.
I have now been updated on my shots and I am a heartworm negative, healthy boy, but I did have some minor worm issues, so I had to take some medicine for just a few days to help me. I have now been groomed to a much shorter coat, I have been neutered and I had some dental issue done too. I am a really friendly, very active, happy, happy guy and I just love attention and lots of love. I am a smaller, medium sized boy. These CCR folks tell me that I will make someone very happy to adopt me as I am just a wonderful, inquisitive, very friendly guy who would just love to be your new baby boy and a favorite companion. I would love to have my very own doggie bed in the house and a fenced yard to romp and play in when it is nice outside. I will be a great best friend and a wonderful companion to add to your family.
