BRUNO - I am a special needs pup.
My name is Bruno and I am a 3 year old male, full breed Havanese who has Epilepsy. I don’t think my owners took very good care of me. I wasn’t given my medication on a daily basis the way I should have been , which meant that I would have seizures from time to time. They decided one day that they no longer had use for me and I guess they really didn’t want me as part of the family anymore. So, they took me to see the Vet. They wanted to euthanize me because they had no time to look for a proper home. Well, my Vet knew I was a great dog and wasn’t having any of that and called on Rescue who said they would find me a wonderful home where my new owners would love me and give me the proper care I need. It doesn’t really take much to care for a dog with Epilepsy.
I’ve lived with children all my life but that doesn’t mean that I need to be placed in a home with them. I don’t mind other small dogs or cats because I’m really a very friendly little guy who really gets along with everyone.
I love to play in the yard, something that I really never did in my last home. I love all the new smells of the outdoors and I sniff around, taking my time enjoying life now.
My Rescue Mom has fallen absolutely in love with me!! (I hear her saying this all the time…she makes me blush!) She thinks I’m comical, and we play a game of tag every now and then. I love when she can’t keep up and catch me! I so enjoy sleeping on a comfortable cozy bed when it’s time to settle in at night. I’d be happy to be on the couch next to you, or at your feet….Just as long as I’m loved. I have a lot of love to give and that’s the only thing I need in return.
I am Neutered and UTD on all of my vaccinations and am ready for my new home.
Please don’t let my Epilepsy stop me from finding my forever home and getting the love and care I so, so deserve. I am so worthy of it and I will be a wonderful companion to someone!
