Prince Phillip's Story...
Prince Phillip

Est. DOB: August 31, 2012
Description: DSH Charcoal Gray
Gender: Male
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Sweet little Prince Phillip (otherwise known by his foster family as "Little Prince") is named for the prince who awoke Sleeping Beauty with a single kiss. True to his namesake, Little Prince LOVES to give kisses (and, oddly enough, prefers kissing his foster family straight on the lips)!!! A wonderfully active and playful boy, Prince loves ANY toy -- a wand toy, the laser light, fuzzy mice, Alley Cats & Angels' catnip knots -- and can find fun with anything, although playing with his sister, Aurora, is hands-down his favorite play activity! But make no mistake, as much as this Prince loves to play, he loves his snuggles and kisses even more! At night, Prince loves to snuggle in close just under his foster mom's chin along with his sister. He adores the four labs (dogs) in his foster home and thinks their tails wag just for him to have something to chase! A perfectly princely, super-snuggly boy, Prince Phillip is so excited to find a family who will treat him like a king! The Sleeping Beauty kittens were found by someone was bush-hogging their land. The kittens were only a few days old and were bottle fed.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with rescue paid registration.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Prince Phillip, a Apex Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Apex, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Apex.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Apex already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Apex breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Apex paves the way for another one to be saved.
