Callie Clover's Story...
You need a little lucky charm? Well maybe you could rub this clover for good luck! I can tell ya, I sure am looking for love (and some good luck) for the holidays.. I have been through so much lately, left behind by owners then bounced from one shelter to the next. So as you can imagine, I'm feeling pretty nervous right now…But I know that this new start is just the next step on the journey to my new life…just one more stop! I won't mind sharing my home with gentle children 7+ and I get along with the other dogs , I was actually raised in a house with my 'sister' Roxy Rose, so I would love it my new forever family includes a 4 legged friend, but if not I can be your one and only! Long walks, trips to the park and other fun adventures sound good to me. Maybe a training class or two, I'm sure to be a star student and it will be a great way for us to learn more about one another. So what do you say? Send a little luck my way? 3 years old-60lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes; microchip, spay reduced cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam , leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Callie Clover, a Portland Labrador Retriever/Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Greyhound for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Greyhound dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Greyhound breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
