Vet office FAVORITE
REGINA became a Castaway Critter just before Christmas 2012. She is estimated to be around 4 years old. Regina came to us with hip dysplasia on both sides. We believe she was used as a breeder dog. Regina came to us from a shelter in Maryland. She was under weight and in need of medical attention.
Under the care of Castaway Critters she recieved a left hip replacement in May 2013, from Palmyra Animal Hospital . Thanks to our wonderful donors who helped with the high medical expenses. The right hip required another operation that was done in July 2013. Due to complications Regina had to have a third operation on her hip in September 2013. A plate was placed in her leg. Regina is recouperating at Stonewood Farms and her caretaker said that she is improving.
Regina is approximately 83 lbs. Regina is good with people - she is the favorite at the vet office! The staff loves her! See her photo at the vet office above!!
Regina would be best with an experienced dog owner. We are looking for that special someone that can handle her and give her the TLC she needs to heal. Castaway Critters will pay for any additional hip surgeries she may need in 2013 and beyond, we just need her to be in the care of a good experienced dog person -so Regina can have a soft bed to lie on and a special person of her own.
Update: Regina is due for another surgery within the next few months but she is available for adoption and we will continue to assist with her medical care.
Please contact Ginny for more information at email@example.com.
THANK YOU FOR CARING!
