Domino's Story...
Why Choose me?
Domino arrived not long before we took her pictures, but she acted as if she didn’t have a care in the world. She trotted happily on her leash to the interaction pen, then zoomed around the pen sniffing everywhere, stopping only to give us some kisses. She does jump up a bit, but it may just be because she’s a little over excited by all the noises and smells here. As soon as we pulled out the treats, Domino went into an instant ‘sit’, so this girl has had at least a little bit of training. George was in the interaction pen next to hers, so they were able to sniff each other through the chain link. Sniffing soon turned into play bows and wiggles as they tried to play as best they could with a fence between them. This happy girl will make a great new family member!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Domino, a Athens Hound (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Athens, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Athens.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Athens already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Athens breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Athens paves the way for another one to be saved.
