I’m a lab/bull dog mix, 65 lbs., 3 ½ yr old sweetheart who will win your affection right off the bat! I love other dogs, am playful, and athletic. I’m a quick learner and already know how to stay and come. I’m crate and house-trained and in wonderful shape. I love to go for walks, am great on a leash, and meet everyone I can (and everyone wants to meet me)!
I am calm, easy-going, laid-back, friendly, genuine, independent, and so incredibly handsome. I’m not barky and I love riding in a car. I walk well on a leash and am a joy to take along the nature path. I’m a ready-made family member: well-trained, healthy, and affectionate. I’m a very flexible fellow and adapt well to new situations. I won’t tear up anything in the house! And I’m mellow with food. In return for adoption, I promise lifelong unconditional love, entertainment, friendship and support. I’m neutered, current on all vaccines, happy and ready to be adopted! I’ll show you gratitude the likes of which you have never seen! I’ll be an amazing best friend to the lucky person who adopts me.

Rescue Group Info...
AZ Prussian Snailhound Dog Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization that is committed to providing rescue and safe-haven for dogs in need. Most of the dogs we rescue are of mixed breeds. When we are out with our dogs and people ask, "What kind of dog is that?", my husband replies by saying, "It is a rare Prussian Snailhound. They are popular in Europe." Each Prussian Snailhound is unique and deserves a loving home! Please open your heart and your home to a rescue dog!
Our major focus is the rescue of stray dogs from the Ft. McDowell Indian Reservation. Since July 2009 we have worked with other groups to rescue over 300 dogs and puppies. These are amazingly sweet dogs that have had to live off of the land and brave extreme heat, cold, rain, drought, coyotes, rattlesnakes, hunger, traffic and people who try to harm them. They deserve to have a proper home. This started out as a mission to save about 30 dogs who hung out behind the casino, as the casino managers saw them as a nuisance and were threatening to poison or shoot the dogs. We ended up saving way more dogs as we became aware that the problem extended far beyond the casino. Some of the adult dogs are extremely fearful of humans at first and require extensive rehabilitation in order to learn how to trust and become a member of the family. Once they realize how good home life is, they will be your best friend for life!
In addition to the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs from the Ft. McDowell Indian Reservation, it is our goal to work closely with the tribe to educate people who live on the Reservation about spay/neuter and to facilitate a low cost spay/neuter program. So far in 2011, 148 pets have been spayed/neutered on the Reservation!
Pets are in foster homes, so meetings are set by appointment only.
All interested parties need to request and fill out an adoption application. Application fees vary depending on age, temperament and health of the dog. Typically puppies are $200-275 and adults are $100-175.
