Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Born Sept. 17, 2007, Hachiko (Chico for short) is a 6 year old neutered male. He is up to date on his vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, leash trained, crate trained, house trained, and knows some tricks!

This SUPER sweet boy was surrendered to a shelter in Georgia by his owners; they had already paid for the surgery on his right knee, but could not afford another $2500 on the left knee when it tore. However, Chico does NOT need surgery and is COMPLETELY healed. Chico does not think of himself as anything less than 100% normal and lives life like any other Akita! Shhhh... he needs a little help sometimes, but he does not like to admit it! That being said, please don't hesitate to meet him - you will see that he is not slowed down AT ALL!

Chico is great with children of all ages, cats, dogs of all sizes, and has even kissed a ferret! He would do well in a home with the right female or as an only dog. He would prefer a home with a fenced in back yard so he can run, Run, RUN as he loves to do!!
