Remember the scene at the end of Grease when the newly transformed and confident Sandy stamps out her cigarette with her stiletto? Now imagine a pocket pittie stamping one of her white paws on the kitchen floor when she thinks her foster mom isn't moving fast enough to feed her. That's Gateway's Olivia (Newton John), who, like her namesake, also sings or 'warbles,' according to her foster mom.

Much more like sassy Sandy than shy Sandy, Olivia still enjoys her downtime, relaxing somewhere comfortable: in her crate, on the bed, or even in a laundry basket. In relaxation mode indoors, Olivia wants nothing more than to snuggle with people (she even spoons in bed), and while outside, she loves rolling in the grass and sunbathing, stretched out like a frog.

With her brown brindle coat, white face, and mismatched ears, Olivia is simultaneously striking and clownish, especially when she smiles. She's 'singularly expressive,' says her foster mom, especially in her bedtime routine when she 'asks' to sleep on the bed rather than in her crate. Her foster mom says, 'To your bed,' and she first obediently goes in her crate, but then jumps on the bed and wags her tail with an expression that wonders, 'You mean this bed?'A good girl, Olivia will eventually go to her crate where she's happy to sleep next to her person.

Olivia's Xanadu would be free of competition from other adorable dogs and kids so that she can be the center of your attention.Won't you help make her fantasy come true? If so, please visit our website to learn about our adoption process and to fill out an application, here. All of our dogs will be micro-chipped, spayed or neutered, and up-to-date on vaccinations at the time of adoption.

Gateway Pet Guardians is proud to offer a variety of mixed breed dogs available for adoption. However, please keep in mind that we rarely know the genetic background of the animals we rescue and, as such, we cannot guarantee the exact breed combinations found within this dog. Further, because 'pit bull terrier type dog' is not a breed we can list and because this dog has a blocky head and other characteristics that make the public perceive him/her as a pit bull, we are listing him/her as a pit bull mix. However, we do not know his/her actual genetic makeup. Just know that this dog is probably a variety of several different breeds that have combined to create one very amazing and unique animal.
