My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jesse; 2 -3 yr old male brown and black tabby Maine Coon

February update: These two wonderful boys, Jesse and James, were adopted intro a great home and then shortly thereafter returned to me. Their adopters sung their praises and fell hard for them.
Unfortunately there was not harmony with the family's existing 10 yr old Maine Coon who was grieving his recently deceased his brother.
These two were adopted in part to help this older kitty in his loneliness. It was a sad situation because they were such great kitties, perfect in all ways - with their litterbox and food and loving playfulness but the timing was off. What had seemed like a good idea didn't work.

Let's set these two boys up together in their own home with no other cats so there can be no introduction troubles. It would also help if their new family came complete with a bunch of ping pong balls.

Jesse and James, his brother, came to me from a Central Valley shelter. I was there to pick up Songbird , a ragdoll girl, and happiiy brought these two nice boys back to foster. They were shy for about a day and then got over that and showed themselves to be outrageous lovebugs. I put a collar on Jesse so I could tell him apart from James. They are very similar in appearance.

They have very plush coats, soft and silky and long. Their fetching tummies have a reddish tinge to their fur which matches a slight reddening on their nose. Jesse's eyes are a sort of wonderful hazel color whereas James' are more golden. Both have classic tabby makings especially on their legs. James' back has more defined stripes than his brother . Jesse, who has an all over diffuse spotted pattern as you can see in the photo's. They are probably still growing. Maine Coons like Ragdolls grow into their third year.Right now they are about ten pounds each. Quite a soft armful of warm cat.

Both are loving and good natured and all about fun. They love to play and love to eat and are really quite willing to be held and put in odd positions for the photographer. Very nice easy cats. They would be great in lots of situations including as family cats. They are born to be companions.

Jesse and James are a beautiful matched set and my first choice would be to keep them together but we could also separate them.

I will write more when I know them better.

They eat wet and dry food and are litterbox perfect.

Their foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.
