I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.
Bauer is a beautiful fawn color lab mix. He is a social butterfly and an active dog that has a zest for life. He has lived with large and small, dominant and submissive dogs in his previous foster homes. He goes to doggy day care and does great with all dogs and children, but not cats. Bauer loves walks and hikes and does well on and off a leash. He is an active boy that loves exercise to keep him happy and healthy. Bauer has been known to hump other dogs as a greeting, but quickly stops when put in his place. Bauer has had some good training and learned the place command. He does best in a home with firm boundaries. Bauer is housetrained, knows how to use a doggy door and is crate trained. He is an all-around sweetheart that aims to please. He is a social boy who would love to live in a loving home with other dogs and children.

More information about Community Animal Welfare Society
Rescue Group Info...
Founded in 1992 the Community Animal Welfare Society ( CAWS) is one of the oldest no-kill animal rescues in Utah. Over the last 20 years CAWS, our fosters and supporters have saved thousands of lives including over 600 last this year. As the largest foster home network in the state of Utah we focus on high risk pets in need of additional care and rehabilitation
CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!
CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month
We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.
We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.
