Sky's Story...
Sky is a 1-2 year old husky lab mix. She went unclaimed at a local pound for over a week before we whisked her away. She's now looking for her forever home. Sky is great with other dogs and wonderful with Children. She's incredibly smart, but will need some further training with jumping, as she loves to give everyone big hugs! Sky is a young, active girl and would do well in a home with someone who likes to get out for lots of walks and playtime.

The adoption fee for Sky is $250.00.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sky, a Douglas Labrador Retriever/Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Husky for sale in Douglas, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Husky dog from a breeder in Douglas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Douglas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Douglas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Husky breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Douglas paves the way for another one to be saved.
