Waldo's Story...
Hi! My name is Waldo. I don't mess in my kennel at night, so I am probably more than likely house trained. I really love playing in the snow! I dig, and roll, and bury my face in it. It's so much fun for me!! I get along good with the other dogs and I am a sweetheart with people, too. I really like it when they bring me in to the office. I am a good boy. I just find myself a nice comfy blanket and curl up on it and sleep. Can you be my new family? If so, please come to meet me or call the pound.

About Our Shelter...
The Columbiana County Dog Pound is a small, rural shelter in eastern Ohio. At one time, only a small percentage of the dogs entering the Pound made it out alive. Now, thanks to the vision of the County Commissioners, the Pound staff, and a dedicated group of volunteers, the Pound has become a source of hope. It is a place where lives are saved, not lost.

Columbiana was one of the first counties in the state to require that all dogs be spayed/neutered before leaving the Pound. This policy addresses the pet overpopulation problem at its source.

Hours:
Monday - Wednesday: 9am to 12pm, 1pm to 4pm
Thursday: 9am to 12pm, 1pm to 4pm
Friday: 9am to 12pm, 1pm to 4pm
Saturday: 9am to 12pm
Sunday: Closed.

Our Adoption Process...
The adoption fee is $100, which includes a DHLPP vaccine, a rabies vaccine, de-worming, an Ohio dog license, and spay/neuter surgery. Additional low-cost vet care is available upon request.

Approved rescue groups can pull dogs at reduced fees.
